Co tedy funguje? Spíše napíšu co po čerstvé instalaci nefunguje. Nejde zvuk, uspávání neráguje, hibernace nejde. Nefunguje (není k nalezení) regulace frekvence procesoru, nejdou funkční tlačítka notebooku, nejde přidat nové rozložení klávesnice v kde. Jde přidat jen přes konsoli.
V opeře mi nejde nastavit flash plugin, zvuk nehraje, regulovat jas displeje opět nejde. Většina těchto věcí mi v sedmičkové verzi (k)ubuntu fungovala hned po instalaci (notebook Asus). Tak kde je chyba? V novém Ubuntu nebo v novém laptopu Lenovo N200? Nebo mezi židlí a klávesnicí?
BTW, takovou odpověď nepotřebuji, rozmýšlím se, co bude následovat? Budu googlit a zkoušet tento hardware zprovoznit? Nebo zkusím novou instalaci jiného distra? Vrátím se k sedmičkové verzi?
Napadá mě ještě jedna možnost, ale takovou nepraktickou. Ubuntu 8 mi bez problémů fungovalo na vmware. Takže by práce vypadala asi následovně: Spustil bych Windows Vista, spustil bych virtuální počítač přes vmware a nabootoval si do full screen Linuxu. Vista by se starala o připojení k internetu, o správu napájení, možná i o surfování po internetu a o ICQ. A linux by byl server, pracovní prostředí atd.
Update.
Uvedene problemy se tykaji pouze KDE (4). V gnome funkcni tlacitka funguji.
